Ingredients

  • 12 oz package cocktail wieners
  • 24 pack Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cup water
  • 1/2 white onion, minced
  • 1/8 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • pinch sugar
  • 2 tbsps chili seasoning
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine the ground beef, water, and onion.
  • Bring to a boil, using a spoon to break the ground beef apart as it cooks.
  • Add the ketchup, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and chili seasoning.
  • Continue boiling for at least 30 minutes, allowing most of the liquid to cook out.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and continue cooking until well combined.
  • While the chili is cooking, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Place the cocktail wieners on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Cut small slits into the Hawaiian rolls to create individual hot dog buns.
  • Place a cocktail wiener into each roll, then spoon the chili over the top.
  • Sprinkle with your favorite cheese and return to the oven for about 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with your favorite fixings and enjoy!
