Biscuits and Gravy Casserole: Easy Comfort Food Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cans homestyle biscuits
  • 6 eggs scrambled
  • 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup AP flour
  • 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning

Instructions

  • Cook sausage all the way through
  • Add butter and seasoning
  • Add flour and cook for about 1 minute
  • Pour in milk and stir until thickened
  • Casserole: Cut biscuits into quarters
  • Pour gravy into a large baking dish
  • Add scrambled eggs over the gravy
  • Spread cheese over the top
  • Place biscuit pieces on top
  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes
  • Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes
