Cheesesteak Melt: Easy Comfort Food Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shaved ribeye steak.
  • 1 cup sliced white onion.
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers.
  • Sliced white or sourdough bread.
  • Sliced provolone and pepper jack cheese.
  • 1 tsp olive oil.
  • 1/2 tbsp all purpose seasoning.
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese.
  • Butter.

Instructions

  • Sauté the onions and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes in the olive oil and a dash of the all purpose seasoning
  • Add the steak to the peppers and onions, mix in and cook all the way through
  • Put the steak aside
  • Butter both sides of your bread slices and add the Parmesan cheese to one of the sides of the slices
  • Add the slices to the griddle buttered side (without the Parmesan) down
  • Toast for a couple minutes
  • Flip them over to toast the cheese side
  • Place a slice of the provolone and pepper jack cheese to each piece of bread
  • Add the steak and peppers to two of the pieces of bread
  • Leave one slice empty for the middle piece
  • Start stacking the sandwich
  • Meat and peppers on the inside with the piece of bread without meat in the middle
  • Continue to cook for a minute or so on each side to get the cheese melted
  • Serve and enjoy!
