  • 1 small onion diced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce optional
  • Large flour tortillas
  • Slices of cheese or 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional Toppings
  • Cooked bacon crumbled
  • Dill pickle slices finely chopped
  • Diced onions finely chopped
  • Jalapeños finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef or ground chicken with the diced onion, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Lay out the tortillas and spread the seasoned meat mixture into a thin, even layer, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
  • Add your cheese of choice over the meat.
  • Sprinkle on your chopped pickles, diced onions, jalapeños, bacon, or any other toppings you want to use.
  • Starting from the long side, tightly roll each tortilla into a log.
  • Slice into 2 inch pinwheels.
  • Push the pinwheels onto skewers, about 4 to 5 per skewer, until all pinwheels are used.
  • Place the skewers on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked, the tortillas are golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve with ketchup, burger sauce, ranch, barbecue sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
