Cornbread Peach Cobbler: Easy Southern Comfort Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp bacon up bacon grease
  • 1 29 oz can peaches ( leave the juice )
  • 1 15 oz can peaches ( drained )
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 boxes jiffy cornbread mix ( I used the honey )
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Then put bacon up in cast iron and warm for about 10 minutes
  • While that’s heating mix cornbread mixture to package directions
  • ( that’s what the 2 eggs and 2/3 cup of milk are for
  • In a seperate bowl mix peaches , vanilla , nutmeg & cinnamon
  • Once cast iron is heated , pour in peaches , evaporated milk , then cornbread mixture
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly
  • Serve with ice cream and enjoy !
