Cowboy Candy Ribs: Smoky Sweet and Spicy Flavor Explosion

Ingredients

  • 2 racks St. Louis cut ribs
  • All purpose seasoning
  • Bbq rub
  • Bbq sauce
  • Blueberry cowboy candy ( recipe is on this page )
  • Strawberry cowboy candy ( recipe is on this page )

Instructions

  • We are going to start by trimming the ribs , trim off any flapping pieces
  • And Trim off thin ends and make uniform
  • Finish by pulling the membrane
  • First layer of seasoning is all purpose
  • Followed by the bbq rub
  • Flip and repeat
  • You want these layers to be pretty heavy
  • Now fire your smoker up to 275
  • Let’s get these ribs on
  • After about three hours mine were tender at 204
  • So I glazed with bbq sauce some juice from each of the cowboy candies
  • Then top with some of the actual fruit and jalapeños from the candy
  • Let that tack up for 10-15 minutes
  • Remove from grill
  • Slice and enjoy !
