Cream Cheese Danish: Easy Crescent Roll Pastry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (optional, for a richer cheesecake filling)
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish
  • Press 1 can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the dish, pinching seams together
  • Beat together: * Cream cheese * ¾ cup sugar * Vanilla * Egg (if using)
  • Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough
  • Place the second can of crescent rolls over the cream cheese layer and pinch seams closed
  • Pour melted butter over the top
  • Mix remaining ¼ cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the butter
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown
  • Cool for about 20 minutes
  • Then Glaze 👌🏼 Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth
  • Drizzle over the danish
