Place your steaks in a bowl and cover with buttermilk
Let soak at least 30 minutes (longer = more tender)
Season your flour: In a large bowl, mix self-rising flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika
Set up your dredge station: Bowl 1: Seasoned flour Bowl 2: Whisked eggs Bowl 3: (Same) seasoned flour again Double dredge for that crust: Take steak from buttermilk
Flour → Egg → Back into Flour Press that flour in GOOD so it sticks
Fry to crispy perfection: Heat oil in a skillet (about 350°F)
Fry steaks 3-4 minutes per side until deep golden brown and crispy
Rest it right: Place on a wire rack (not paper towels) so that crust stays crispy
