Ingredients

  • 24 oz Lil Smokies 2x 12 oz pack
  • 8 oz Dr. Pepper
  • 1/2 C Brown Sugar light, or dark
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBSP Reaper Seasoning (Blazing Star)
  • 8 oz BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat smoker to 225F
  • Combine all ingredients into an aluminum pan, mix well to combine thoroughly , cover tightly with aluminum foil and place 2 slits in the top with a knife to act as a vent.
  • Place in smoker and allow to cook for 3 hours covered. Remove aluminum foil and allow food to smoke for 15-20 minutes. Increase temperature to 400 for last 10-15 minutes of the cook to thicken up the glaze. Remove when thick to your liking, making sure that nothing is burning.
  • Serve hot.
