Fourth of July Firecracker Cake: Easy Festive Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix.
  • 1 box strawberry jello.
  • 1 tub of Cool Whip.
  • 1 packet of Strawberry Pop Rocks.
  • 1 blue sugar sprinkles.
  • 3 egg whites.
  • 1/2 cup canola oil.
  • 4 cups water.

Instructions

  • Make the cake according to the directions on the box
  • Remove from the oven and let completely cool
  • Poke holes in the cake
  • Prepare the jello as per the directions on the box
  • Do not let the jello cool and solidify
  • Pour the jello mix over the cake and into the holes
  • Put the cake into the refrigerator for 1-2 hours
  • Cover the top of the cake with the Cool Whip
  • Add the blue sprinkles and then the Pop Rocks
  • Note: Do not add the Pop Rocks until you are ready to serve the cake
  • Serve and enjoy!
