Ooey Goey Strawberry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box Strawberry Cake Mix
  • 1 stick Butter, softened
  • 4 large Eggs, divided
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup Fresh Strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, softened butter, and 1 egg
  • Mix until fully combined
  • Press the cake mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 baking dish to form the crust
  • In a separate mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and remaining eggs
  • Mix with an electric mixer until smooth
  • Slowly add the confectioners sugar and continue mixing until fully incorporated and smooth
  • Stir in the chopped strawberries
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake crust
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving
