Pumpkin Spice Candied Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Bacon thick
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 TBSP Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • ½ tsp Ground Ginger
  • ¼ tsp Ground Cloves
  • 2 TBSP Warm Water

Instructions

  • Preheat smoker to 325F
  • On a wire rack lay out your bacon closely, but take care to make sure they don't overlap
  • In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients together, except the bacon, to make the pumpkin spice glaze
  • Using a kitchen brush, add the glaze to the top of the bacon taking care to coat evenly.
  • Place in smoker or oven for 30-35 minutes - this will vary based on a number of factors keep an eye on it at the end to make sure the sugar isn't burning
  • Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes, serve immediately or store in airtight container
