Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 2-3 tbsps. bacon grease/your choice of oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsps. all-purpose seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic)
  • 1 1/2 tbsps. Greek seasoning/seasoning of choice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Remove any wilted outer leaves from the cabbage, then slice into 1-inch-thick steaks.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spread a portion of the grease onto the paper.
  • Arrange the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the remaining grease.
  • Sprinkle evenly with the seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake on the center rack for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm.
