Slow Cooker Steak and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1.5-2 lbs. stew meat
  • 1.5lb. bag baby potatoes (washed)
  • 1 stick butter (cut in pats)
  • 2 tsps. minced garlic
  • 2-3 tbsps. Olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsps. all-purpose seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic)
  • 2-3 tbsps. Garlic butter seasoning

Instructions

  • Place meat on a cutting board or in a bowl and season with the all-purpose seasoning and garlic butter seasoning.
  • Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl, drizzle with a tbsp of olive oil, and sprinkle with some of both seasonings.
  • In a cast iron skillet, pour in about 2 tbsps of olive oil and allow it to heat up.
  • Once the oil is hot, add in the stew meat and sear on both sides (3-4 minutes each side).
  • Once all the meat is seared place into a lightly greased crockpot, keeping the meat to one side.
  • Then add the potatoes to the other side.
  • Sprinkle the minced garlic on top of the meat and potatoes.
  • Then place the butter pats around on top.
  • Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4-5 hours.
  • Serve when ready.
