Smoky Breakfast Kolaches with Sausage and Jalapenos

Ingredients

  • 15 rhoades frozen dinner rolls
  • 2 pounds smoked sausage
  • Cooking spray
  • 8 oz block cheddar
  • 2 jalapeños

Instructions

  • Place dough balls on a greased cookie sheet , at least 2 inches apart
  • Spray tops of rolls with cooking spray
  • Cover with plastic wrap
  • Spray bottom side of plastic wrap also , to ensure it won’t stick
  • Let proof 4 hours
  • Cut sausage into
  • 5” pieces
  • Flatten dough ball , place smoked sausage in center and roll it up and close ends
  • Place in greased pan
  • Let proof another 1-2 hours , top with shredded cheese and jalapeños if desired
  • Bake 45 minutes or until golden brown
  • You can cover with foil if the edges start getting dark too soon
  • Remove and enjoy !!
