Southern Shrimp Rolls: Easy Cajun Flavor in Every Bite

Ingredients

  • 1 tub garlic butter ( you can make your own if desired )
  • 1 12 pack savory butter Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound gulf shrimp
  • 1 cup Cajun seasoning ( I used killer hogs bayou blend )
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 3 tsp chopped fresh dill
  • Additional Cajun seasoning for topping

Instructions

  • Bring 8-10 cups of water to a boil , adding Cajun seasoning and lemon peels
  • While that’s coming to a boil
  • Place minced garlic in lemon juice and let that infuse
  • Once water is boiling cook shrimp till done .that will only take 3-5 minutes
  • Once cooked remove and immediately place on ice
  • Remove shells if they have them
  • Chop shrimp, add mayo , strain lemon juice into mixture , 2 tsp dill , 1 tsp more Cajun seasoning
  • Place in fridge for 30 minutes
  • Take rolls cut into strips of three
  • Then slice like a hot dog bun not going all the way through
  • Place on baking pan and brush with melted garlic butter
  • Bake at 350 till golden brown
  • Mine took about 10 minutes
  • Place mixture in rolls and enjoy !
