Whipped Ricotta Hot Honey Dip: Simple Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15oz. Whole Milk Ricotta
  • 3 tbsps. hot honey, extra for drizzle
  • 2 tbsps. Olive oil, extra for drizzle
  • 1 tsp. Minced garlic paste
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Baguettes, crackers, or chips for dipping

Instructions

  • Place the ricotta in a fine mesh strainer and allow it to drain for 15 minutes to remove any excess liquid.
  • Add the drained ricotta, olive oil, hot honey, and minced garlic to a mixing bowl.
  • Using an electric mixer, blend for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
  • Spoon the whipped ricotta onto a serving dish and use the back of a spoon to create small valleys for the honey and olive oil.
  • Drizzle with additional honey and olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes, if desired.
  • Serve immediately.
