Place the ricotta in a fine mesh strainer and allow it to drain for 15 minutes to remove any excess liquid.
Add the drained ricotta, olive oil, hot honey, and minced garlic to a mixing bowl.
Using an electric mixer, blend for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
Spoon the whipped ricotta onto a serving dish and use the back of a spoon to create small valleys for the honey and olive oil.
Drizzle with additional honey and olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes, if desired.
Serve immediately.
