Why You’ll Love These Easy Hawaiian Sliders

A white bowl on a wooden surface contains chopped green jalapeños, mayonnaise, mustard, and various spices, ready to be mixed together.

These sliders take almost no effort and still taste like you put in serious work. The ham, provolone, and cinnamon grilled pineapple give you that sweet and savory balance that Hawaiian sliders are known for. The pineapple jalapeno aioli takes the whole thing to another level and adds a mellow kick.

Several thick slices of roasted ham are placed on a piece of toasted white bread, served on a metal tray atop a wooden surface.

Ingredients And Tools

I keep these easy Hawaiian sliders simple with common ingredients you can grab anywhere. You only need Hawaiian rolls, ham, provolone, pineapple rings, sugar, cinnamon, and the quick jalapeno pineapple aioli. A grill or griddle makes it better, but the oven works too.

How To Make It

An open-faced sandwich on a baking tray, topped with several overlapping slices of white cheese, covering ham on a piece of bread. The scene is brightly lit, with a wooden surface underneath the tray.

Prep

I slice the Hawaiian rolls in half so the tops and bottoms can toast evenly. I mix the cinnamon and sugar together, toss the pineapple rings in it, and get them ready for the grill. I whisk together the mayo, pineapple juice, dijon, honey, jalapeno, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper for the aioli.

Six pineapple rings coated with a seasoning are being grilled on a barbecue, arranged in two rows on the metal grates. The grill is open and clean with no other food items present.

Cook

I grill the pineapple over medium heat for about five minutes until the sugars caramelize without burning. I toast the rolls in the oven for a couple minutes to give them structure. I layer ham, pineapple, provolone, and a heavy smear of the jalapeno pineapple aioli on top.

Serve

I pop the whole tray back in the oven until the cheese melts and the rolls finish toasting. I slice them and serve immediately while everything is hot and gooey. These easy Hawaiian sliders disappear fast, so I usually make a double batch.

Serving Tips And Variations

These are perfect for game days, backyard hangs, or quick dinners on busy nights. You can swap ham for turkey or pulled pork if you want a different direction with your easy Hawaiian sliders. I’ve also added bacon before and it was unreal.

Pro Tips

Toasting the rolls first keeps them from getting soggy. Letting the pineapple caramelize adds a deep sweetness that really sets off the ham. The aioli can be made ahead and kept in the fridge for a couple days if you want to prep early.

Wrap Up

These easy Hawaiian sliders check every box for flavor, speed, and crowd appeal. They look impressive but take almost no effort. If you need a go to slider that always hits, this one is it.
