I whipped these up for a recent backyard gathering, and let me just say, they disappeared faster than a cold beer on a hot summer day!

What makes these little beauties stand out is the combination of smoky sausage, creamy cheese, and that rich bacon jam. It’s like a flavor explosion in every bite! Whether you're hosting a party or just want to treat yourself, these sliders are a guaranteed hit.

Now, let's dive into why you’ll love this recipe.

Why You'll Love This Recipe

First off, these sliders are super easy to make, and they pack a flavor punch that will impress any crowd. They’re perfect for game days, family gatherings, or just a weekend treat. The beauty of sliders is their versatility; you can customize them however you like, but I promise you won't want to change a thing after trying this combo.

The balance of sweet and savory is spot on. The breakfast sausage brings that hearty flavor we all crave, while the bacon jam adds a touch of sweetness that ties everything together. Plus, who can resist a thick slice of melty cheese on top?

It’s comfort food at its finest, and you’ll be dreaming about it long after the last slider is gone.

Ingredients & Tools You'll Need

Let’s talk about what you need to pull off these sliders. You’ll start with a pack of slider buns; I always go for the soft ones that can hold up to the fillings without falling apart. For the star of the show, grab a couple of tubes of breakfast sausage.

You want that flavorful, savory goodness to shine through.

Don’t forget the BBQ rub – it adds a nice touch of spice and depth to the sausage. I go heavy on the cheese, opting for white American cheese because it melts beautifully and gives that creamy texture we all love. And, of course, a jar of bacon jam is a must.

This stuff is pure magic, and it elevates the sliders to another level.

How To Make It

Alright, let’s get down to business and whip these sliders up. This process is straightforward, so don’t worry if you’re new to cooking. I’ll walk you through every step, and before you know it, you’ll have a plate full of delicious sliders ready to devour.

Preparation

First things first, you’ll want to fire up your smoker and set it to 275 degrees. While that’s heating up, remove the sausage from its packaging and season it liberally with BBQ rub. This is where the flavor begins – trust me, don’t skimp on this step!

Once the smoker is ready, place the sausage on the grill and let it work its magic. You’re aiming for an internal temperature of 165 degrees, which usually takes around 90 minutes. Keep an eye on it – you want that beautiful golden-brown color to develop.

After it’s done, slice the sausage thickly; this gives you more surface area for that melty cheese and bacon jam to cling to.

Cooking

Now comes the fun part! Take those thick sausage slices and add half a slice of white American cheese on top. Then pop them back into the smoker to let that cheese melt into gooey perfection.

This is when the magic happens – you’ll see the cheese start to ooze and bubble, making everything even more irresistible.

After about five minutes, it’s time to add a generous spoonful of bacon jam on top of each cheesy sausage slice. Allow it to melt into the cheese – the sweet and salty combo is out of this world. While that’s happening, toast your slider rolls until they’re golden brown and slightly crispy.

This adds a nice texture that complements the fillings perfectly.

Serving & Variations

Once everything is ready, it’s time to build your sliders! Just stack a piece of the sausage with cheese and bacon jam on a toasted slider roll, and you’re in business. These sliders are best served fresh, but if you have leftovers (which is rare), you can store them in an airtight container for a day or two.

Want to mix it up? You can switch the sausage for turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, add some jalapeños for a kick!

Serve these with some crispy fries, a side salad, or even some pickles for that perfect flavor contrast.

Wrapping Up

I can’t stress how delicious and satisfying these Bacon Jam Sausage Sliders are! Whether you’re entertaining guests or just indulging in some comfort food, they hit the spot every time. Give this recipe a try, and you’ll see why it’s become a staple at my gatherings.
