Elk Sausage Sliders: Easy Flavor-Packed Party Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 link of Elk Sausage (or any sausage of choice)
  • 1 Pack of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 4-6 Slices of Cold jack cheese
  • 2–3 tbsp Heath Riles Garlic Butter Rub
  • Optional: sliced onions, jalapenos or pickles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Slice elk sausage links into thin rounds (about ¼ inch thick)
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook sausage slices until browned (and fully cooked if raw)
  • Sprinkle 1–2 tbsp Garlic Butter Rub over the sausage while cooking
  • Slice Hawaiian rolls in half (keep them connected) and place the bottom half in a baking dish
  • Layer the cooked sausage evenly over the rolls
  • Add Colby Jack cheese slices on top
  • Place the top buns on
  • Mix melted butter with remaining Garlic Butter Rub and brush over the tops
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden
