One Pot Creamy Cheesy Jambalaya Recipe: Easy Weeknight Meal

Ingredients

  • 5-6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 white onion diced
  • 3 tsp bacon up or cooking oil
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tub white queso
  • 1 box Zattarans Jambalaya
  • 5 cups warm water

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning your chicken with Cajun seasoning
  • Then it’s time to cook the chicken and sausage
  • You can either saute in pan with some bacon up
  • Or grill it like I did
  • Then it’s time to add bacon up to warm skillet and saute onions and peppers
  • After they are soft , which takes about 4-5 minutes
  • Add jambalaya mix
  • Let rice toast for 1-2 minutes
  • Then add warm water
  • Simmer covered till rice is tender
  • Top with diced meat and mix in
  • And Enjoy !!
