You can have a restaurant-quality meal right at home, and I promise it feels pretty impressive when you serve it.

Ingredients & Tools You'll Need

Let’s talk ingredients. You’ll need two thin steaks-strips work great here, and I usually go for something like flank or sirloin. Season them up with salt and pepper, and let them hang out for about thirty minutes for the flavors to meld.

Then we’ve got a tub of bacon, two bags of stir fry veggies, and a bag of mini wontons. Those wontons are the star of the show, adding a delightful crunch that pairs perfectly with the saucy goodness.

Don’t forget the sauces! You’ll need a cup of sweet Thai chili sauce and half a cup of teriyaki. I like to keep these on hand because they’re versatile and elevate so many dishes.

You’ll also want a griddle or a large skillet for cooking everything up-something that can handle high heat is key for that beautiful sear on the steak.

How To Make It

Alright, let’s dive into how to make this delicious Won Ton Stir Fry. It’s all about prep and timing, so let’s get everything lined up before we cook. You’ll be amazed at how quickly this comes together once you get rolling.

Preparation

Start by seasoning your steaks with salt and pepper. I like to do this about thirty minutes before cooking to let those flavors really soak in. While that’s happening, you can prep your veggies and wontons.

If you’re using frozen veggies, make sure they’re thawed in advance-nobody wants a watery stir fry. It’s all about that crispy finish, so we want to avoid any excess moisture.

Once your steaks are seasoned and your veggies are ready, it’s time to get your sauces mixed. I usually combine the sweet Thai chili and teriyaki in a bowl so it’s ready to go when everything’s cooked. This little step keeps the flow going and saves you from scrambling later.

Cooking

Now, let’s get cooking! Heat up your griddle or skillet to high heat and add in the bacon. You want that sizzling sound to kick things off.

A person uses a spatula to cook and stir a mixture of vegetables and meat on a large outdoor flat-top grill, with a measuring cup and plate in the background.

After a couple of minutes, toss in your steaks, searing them on high heat to lock in all those juices. Once they have a nice crust, turn down the heat to medium and let them cook through-this usually takes about 4-5 minutes per side depending on thickness.

Next, it’s time to add the stir fry veggies and wontons. Stir everything together every couple of minutes until everything is cooked through and you’ve got that beautiful sear on your veggies. You’ll start to smell that glorious aroma filling your kitchen-seriously, it’s hard to resist.

When everything’s cooked to perfection, cut the heat and toss in that sauce mix. Just give it a few tosses to coat everything evenly, and you’re ready to plate up!

Serving & Variations

Serving this Won Ton Stir Fry is easy and fun. I like to pile it high on a big plate or in a bowl, letting all those colors pop. You can garnish with some sliced green onions or sesame seeds for an extra touch.

And if you have leftovers-lucky you! They keep well in the fridge for a couple of days and reheat nicely.
