The possibilities are endless, and that’s what makes it a hit for both kids and adults alike.

To make these delicious Banana Pudding Nachos, you’ll need a few key ingredients. We’re talking about 2-3 packs of instant French vanilla pudding, some milk, a tub of Cool Whip, and a can of condensed milk. These creamy ingredients are what give your pudding that dreamy texture.

You’ll also need ripe bananas and good old vanilla wafers to add that classic banana pudding vibe.

Now, for the fun part-those tortilla chips! Grab some taco-sized flour tortillas and a little oil for frying. The chips are going to be the crunchy base for our nachos, and trust me, you’ll want them nice and crispy.

Finish it off with a cinnamon-sugar mix for that sweet dusting, and you’re golden!

How To Make It

Making Banana Pudding Nachos is as easy as pie-well, easier actually! We’ll start with some simple prep work before diving into the cooking. First, you’ll whisk together the pudding mix and milk in a bowl until it thickens up nicely.

This is where the magic happens, so don’t rush it! You want it to be creamy and smooth.

Preparation

Once your pudding is thickened, grab another bowl and mix together the condensed milk and Cool Whip. I like to do this by hand to keep it nice and fluffy. Fold the two mixtures together gently, then toss in a cup of crushed vanilla wafers and a couple of chopped bananas.

Let that sit in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavors meld. This step is crucial-trust me, the longer it sits, the better it tastes!

Now, while that’s chilling, let’s get our tortilla chips ready. Take your flour tortillas and cut them into triangles. You can make them as big or small as you like, but I usually go for bite-sized pieces.

Heat up some oil in a pan to about 325 degrees-this is where we’re going to fry the chips to golden perfection.

Cooking

Once the oil is hot, carefully add your tortilla triangles in batches. Fry them until they’re golden brown and crisp, which should take just a couple of minutes. You’ll hear that satisfying sizzle as they cook, and the smell will have your stomach growling!

When they're done, remove them from the oil and immediately dust them with that cinnamon-sugar mix we set aside earlier. This step adds a sweet touch that takes your chips over the top.

Now comes the fun part-layering! Start with a generous layer of your crispy chips, then spoon on the creamy pudding mixture. Top it off with fresh banana slices and a sprinkle of crumbled vanilla wafers.

Repeat the layers until you’ve got a beautiful tower of flavor. You can even drizzle a little chocolate sauce on top if you’re feeling fancy!

A common consensus among home cooks is: adding a splash of vanilla extract to the pudding mixture enhances the flavor even more. You can also swap out the bananas for other fruits like strawberries or blueberries if you’re in the mood for a fruity twist. And if you have leftovers (which is a big if), they’ll keep in the fridge for a day, but they’re best enjoyed fresh.
