Not to mention, this recipe is a real crowd-pleaser. These Cajun Butter Ribeyes disappear faster than a cold beer in July, so be prepared for everyone to come back for seconds. Trust me – your friends and family will be raving about it for days!
Ingredients & Tools You’ll Need
To whip up these Cajun Butter Ribeyes, you’ll need some pretty straightforward ingredients. First off, grab two ribeye steaks that are about an inch thick. The marbling in these cuts gives them that juicy flavor we all love.

You’ll also need some Cajun seasoning – I used Allquedup Bayou Bandit, which packs a flavorful punch, but feel free to use your favorite blend.
Next up, we need butter. Two sticks of room temperature butter are crucial here. This is what makes our Cajun butter so creamy and rich.
We’re also adding two teaspoons of parsley for a fresh touch and two teaspoons of Creole mustard to jazz things up a bit. Don’t forget about olive oil for cooking – just a drizzle will do the trick.
How To Make It
Making these Cajun Butter Ribeyes is as easy as 1-2-3. We’ll start by preparing our Cajun butter, then season our steaks and let everything come together beautifully. The key here is timing – you want the butter to firm up while your steaks soak in all that spice goodness.
Preparation
First things first, let’s make that Cajun butter. In a mixing bowl, combine your room temperature butter, Creole mustard, 3-4 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning, and parsley. Mix everything together until it’s well combined.
You’ll know it’s ready when it’s all smooth and bursting with flavor.

One hour before cooking, take the steaks out and let them come to room temperature. This step is crucial for ensuring they cook evenly, so don’t skip it!

Cooking
Now, let’s get to the fun part – cooking those beautiful ribeyes! Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s nice and hot, carefully place your steaks in the skillet.
You’ll want to cook them for about three minutes on one side – you should hear that gorgeous sizzle.
After three minutes, flip the steaks over. Here’s where the magic happens: add a scoop of your Cajun butter to the skillet during the last minute of cooking. This will create a rich, flavorful sauce that’ll make you want to dive right in.
Cook for another three minutes for perfectly medium-rare steaks, but feel free to adjust the time if you like them more or less done.
Once they’re cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. This helps the juices redistribute, giving you a juicy and tender bite. Trust me, you won’t want to skip this step!

Serving & Variations
Alright, the steaks are ready, and it’s time to dig in! I love serving these Cajun Butter Ribeyes with a side of roasted veggies or a fresh salad. The brightness of the veggies balances the richness of the steak perfectly.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try pairing them with a spicy garlic aioli for dipping.
Feel free to customize your Cajun butter, too! Add some minced garlic or even a touch of lemon zest for a citrusy twist. And if you have leftovers (which, let’s be honest, might not happen), they make a killer steak sandwich the next day.
Just slice them thin and load them onto a crusty roll with some sautéed onions and peppers – yum!
